Re: [Baseball] Hackers 2017

I've got my hometown live draft this afternoon from 130 to 630 so I will not be picking during that time. Thanks.

Yes I talked with him, he's busy preparing a comeback from 2003 that shames those of us who are prepared and prompt.

Great to hear about your health Jeff!

This pace has been wonderful. Semple even has me beat on a per pick basis - a crown Jeff and I usually compete for every year!

91 hours and counting. I don't think anyone else has even been 20% that bad.

Re: [FOOTBALL] ACS Hackers football 2014 draft discussion

Yeah, that is certainly what makes this year interesting (though we can say that every year) since I have Lynch at 11 and Martin at 22. The Luck argument is fun, but in leagues with money and high stakes....Luck is there at 48 about 95% of the time. Obviously though, this is not a money league.

Re: [FOOTBALL] ACS Hackers football 2014 draft discussion

Well no, that's the problem. It's not "my" mocks, it is every industry draft, mock, magazine, cheat sheet and facet of research available that has him literally 30 to 40 spots after you took him. Picking from the wrap isn't easy so if you really believe the breakout season is coming then you "had" t...

Re: [FOOTBALL] ACS Hackers football 2014 draft discussion

This is definitely the earliest I've seen Lynch or Martin go in any draft all summer. Rockland's Calvin and Giovanni start is the best I can tell.

Wow, Lucks ADP is 30 spots lower.

Re: [FOOTBALL] ACS Hackers football 2014 draft discussion

Normally, I would leave a queue, but with the wrap I may have to adjust a couple things. So if the others pick in front of me, I'll be up for school/work around 10am and will pick then.

Re: [BASEBALL] ACS Hackers 2014 draft discussion

I took Segura over Reyes based on potential. I'm hoping the Segura I get is like his first half of last year and not the second half (although he still stole bases). I think Reyes is good for 20-25 SB's and 12-15 HR's, but I'm hoping for 40 SB's from Segura (I am not expecting more than 10 hr from ...

Re: [BASEBALL] ACS Hackers 2014 draft discussion

Great pick of Reyes. Wow he tumbled! I know he's reached the boring stage of his career, and will always be injury prone, but that's about 20 picks later than the latest I've seen him go in a multitude of various formats and leagues.

Re: [BASEBALL] ACS Hackers 2014 draft discussion

Everyone keep the Pujols comments to yourselves....it's a risk and a leap but I'm taking it.......... I don't think it is much of a risk. Huge upside...Good Pick! Right, no risk in a player with declining OBP% and OPS% SIX straight years, who could be older than he says he is, who has a foot injury...

The server crashed last Friday too during our keeper draft. Something about this site tells me it can't handle more than 4 people roaming on it at once.

Pretty sure my trade offer last year was a Top 5 shortstop and a #2 fantasy starter amidst a breakout season.

Re: ACS FOOTBALL draft discussion 2013

Sorry for the delay...The guy in front of me took my DE and I had to re-think my whole strategy  To the VJax argument - saying Josh Freeman is in the same class as Palmer and Schaub is ludicrous unless you are strictly talking fantasy numbers. I would not want Palmer anywhere near my real NF...

Re: ACS FOOTBALL draft discussion 2013

Davis also had a ridiculously good playoff stretch w CP at QB and is lining up at WR often in camp. Trusting Palmer and Schaub compared to Freeman? That's odd since Freeman had the best 2012 of all. Either way all 3 are #qbpurgatory

I'm purposely not leaving a queue, its the thing to do. I'll pick when I wake up. Hopefully it'll be 3 or 4pm and we waste a prime day of picking?

Just kidding? Or I could just not say anything and leave everyone hanging.

Re: ACS FOOTBALL draft discussion 2013

Jeff, I LOVE the V-Jax pick. I got him in round 4 of a PPR league a couple weeks ago and was stoked. I have him as my #7 WR. He finished 6th last year and that was with Freeman [BLEEP] the bed in December. He really gets overlooked year after year (small markets?, lack of playoff exposure?, never be...

Re: ACS FOOTBALL draft discussion 2013

You know, that's right around where McFadden is going generally but I just don't see it. Think he's one of the most overvauled guys right now. I wouldn't touch him Top 50 - really what's his upside now? We have a large sample size now of him being an average NFL RB who happens to play on the worst t...
