And so the question of the draft has been answered - When should one pick Billy Hamilton, a freak of nature who could dominate a category, but hurt you in several others??? The answer is pick # 50. I guess this is actually a good spot as you have a feel for your lineup at this point. Is 50 too early? Who knows? Would he be on the board when the pick came back to you? Very doubtful.

Rich,

I think Granderson is a bit of a reach. He may have a good season but I think you could have waited a round or two... or five.

One advantage of being on furlough this week.

Between this place and dealing with my father, it's been really hectic. I'm on furlough week after next.

Great pick of Reyes. Wow he tumbled! I know he's reached the boring stage of his career, and will always be injury prone, but that's about 20 picks later than the latest I've seen him go in a multitude of various formats and leagues.

Agree on Reyes. He was sitting on the top of my board a few rounds now, but I have Tulo already. I had Reyes higher than two SS taken before him, but understand the steals consideration and better durability with those others. Similar to why I just took Rios. Someone has to swipe some bases for my club. Felt like I was drafting an NFL offensive line for a bit there.

Trying to beat RICK to defend my total time on the clock title (I've won it at least 8 years running), he has me by a mintue through this round but he keeps autopicking, and I am hesitant to put two on the turn on autopick.

Also, I believe the site going down issues are behind us. Word I got was the server host folks thought draftime was under attack (perhaps by autobots) because of the number of auto-refreshes going on at once with all the drafts. Now that they have this understood, we should see smooth sailing.

I took Segura over Reyes based on potential. I'm hoping the Segura I get is like his first half of last year and not the second half (although he still stole bases). I think Reyes is good for 20-25 SB's and 12-15 HR's, but I'm hoping for 40 SB's from Segura (I am not expecting more than 10 hr from him). Desmond vs. Segura vs. Reyes has been one of the big decisions I had to make. Would have taken Desmond, but missed him by a few picks.

The giant narrative about Segura's second half is a bit overblown. He was playing everyday and he got tired. Geez, that's never happened before right? Also, as a fully developed major leaguer, Segura's power projects out to be in the 15-17 range, which may not come until 2016 or so, but who knows?

I feel Desmond is safer, more consistent and in a better lineup than the other two, but I paid a higher price so it makes sense.

I was hoping to look and tell everyone that Dazman does not have a player under age 30 on his team, but alas he has Felix Hernandez who is only 27 years old, with the mileage of the average 32 year old. The Granderson pick was literally 49 spots ahead of his mean ADP. So you were close on your statement Rockland haha.

As a suffering Met fan, I hope Dazman is right and Granderson lives up to his draft pick.

Brian - feel free to choose from my following responses to that statement :)

"They do not give out fantasy trophies in March"

"If everyone else's first and second rounders suffers season ending injuries"

"Using figures from 2011"

Well Jeff - Everybody POOPS - but I shall be this years champion! I'll POOPS in the trophy so next time Steve drinks from it (if that ever happens again) I can

That's great... I heard someone say champion.. the champ is here... Proudly serving on the 'hacker fantasy baseball mount rushmore with my 3 championship rings... Alongside me are the commish, wrigbone and... TBD.

Will Steve etch his team onto this list with another win this year?
Maybe Claudio takes that next step and stakes his claim?
Among others, Rick, Rich and Joe have performed well since joining.. Are they one win away from consideration?

It's a great league to be a part of.. Thats my mount rushmore.. Jeff won the league the first year i played, in a landslide, so its always a good year to finish ahead of Jeff... thats how i measure my teams performance... Wrig and I battled on a number of occasions. Always look forward to a good fantasy clash of the titans. This year is no different.

Looks like you caught Rockland with his queue down Jeff. Homer Auto-Picks

Nevermind it's SempleAndSons you are trying to beat...but I'll leave the homer comment up

Hey, in this league, I NEVER end up with Yankees because someone else usually over values them!

Maybe Tanaka could be considered a homer pick but I like his possible K rate and think he has tons of upside, this is about his ADP and average ranking in terms of being SP#17. I am considering him a poor man's Darvish.

Needed a reliever and DRob happened to be at the top of that queue. I'll gladly trade DRob for almost any of the RP picked ahead of him.

I wonder if slash knows that he needs to turn autopick on for each individual slot. Strange he'd autopick 8.12 and not 9.01. He is out of the office this week, if anyone has a number to text him at, please let him know.

He did the same thing on the turn earlier in the draft.

I know that I need to set each round for auto-pick but I wasn't comfortable with my #3 in the queue and didn't want to just leave it up to auto-pick if it was left to the third player in my queue.

Like you, Jeff, I really dislike being on the turn and have to wait watching my anticipated draftees getting selected for 22 straight picks.

Come on Rich, you have to have larger queues when we hit our closer run !!

Not good drafting today. Come on gang, if the person right ahead of you takes extra time, you should be able to counteract that by having your queue ready. Don't start doing research only when it is your turn!

Just FYI - I was ready to pick 8.11 last night, and I would have set a queue for 9.02 before going to bed, but I needed to wait to see Kevin's pick before making mine. With Slacker already having a SS my strategy for that turn was based on what Kevin did. I checked in until 10:30pm my time (that's after midnight for you east-coasters) and then gave up. So here we sit again :(
