Normally, I would leave a queue, but with the wrap I may have to adjust a couple things. So if the others pick in front of me, I'll be up for school/work around 10am and will pick then.

Good Luck with Doug Martin. He was my first round pick last year. He was terrible and then he got hurt.

I was a little concerned, but the word is he is healthy and ready to go as well as the Bucs are supposed to be the most improved team this season...

A very different draft this year for me. I usually am the last to snag a QB, go RB heavy rounds 1-3. But falling at #7 and #18 I felt like when it was my turn Graham and Brees were 'best available' with tier drop offs afterwards.

Go Saints. Who DAT!!

I'm already 2nd guessing myself. I was thinking Brees would make it back to me if I passed on Manning but was afraid to take the chance. We'll see how it plays out but I like your value there Jeff. Pretty much guaranteed 5k yards and doesn't get hurt.

If you didn't take Brees, I was definitely grabbing him at #3 at the turn............

This is definitely the earliest I've seen Lynch or Martin go in any draft all summer. Rockland's Calvin and Giovanni start is the best I can tell.

Wow, Lucks ADP is 30 spots lower.

Keep it coming Steve.....I'm convinced that your mocks mean I'm going in the right direction (check FBB this season after the comments you made.....)..........

Well no, that's the problem. It's not "my" mocks, it is every industry draft, mock, magazine, cheat sheet and facet of research available that has him literally 30 to 40 spots after you took him. Picking from the wrap isn't easy so if you really believe the breakout season is coming then you "had" to do it. But trying to act like you did anything other than completely mishandle his consensus ADP would be incorrect.

And I appreciate the baseball comments attempting to kick me while I am down. It means you guys recognize how rare it is and want to get your shots in while you can. So in a roundabout way, thank you.

I had Lynch at 6 and Martin on 19 on my board. I try not to live by other sites ADP except in terms of seeing where players go in relation to others at their position. Albeit lower, Luck was QB4 on my board. While I may not have taken him at #25 since I do 'best available', dazman's next pick is #48 and Luck would have been gone.

8 WR gone in the first two rounds I believe is a first for us

Yeah, that is certainly what makes this year interesting (though we can say that every year) since I have Lynch at 11 and Martin at 22. The Luck argument is fun, but in leagues with money and high stakes....Luck is there at 48 about 95% of the time. Obviously though, this is not a money league.

Last year I waited too long on a qb and think I had to settle for Eli. Before the draft I was gunning for Luck, but Rich snatched him up. Rich grabbed him a little early but Luck def wasn't making it back to him in round 4. When you want your guy, you want your guy. With the thought of having Peyton and Bree's in my division I felt I needed to at least have a qb who could put up close numbers to those 2 big bombers.

Last year I was the last to pick a QB (pick 5.10) and the second in our league to pick up a backup (7.10) and my backup ended up carrying me to the title.

Psyched to get Jennings at 5.4 - thought for sure that you would grab him Rich! Think he's going to have a big year - serving as the dump-off for Eli as he struggles in the new offense.

I had him on my list, but I needed some quality receiving in there. It's such a long time between picks for me and Steve that it alters the strategy a bit.

Yeah, Rich - I saw that you had no receivers and gambled that you would grab 2 on the swing. Same situation for Greg and Dave (each already had 2 RBs), so I rolled the dice.

Spoke to Greg who is stuck in client meetings. Hopefully he'll be able to pick soon.

Don't you just hate it when business gets in the way of the important stuff :)
All in all, I think the pace is going well this year.
