Getting Started
Official draft start: Wednesday, March 16, 9:00 a.m. (Eastern)
• The draft will run without a time limit between picks for the first round, assuming no prolonged delays.
• After the first round, a time limit between picks may be imposed, if necessary, so that we do not fall behind pace.
• Managers with the first and last draft positions in each round will have a single clock, not double time, for their picks.
• Our goal is to complete the draft by Friday, April 1. The 2016 MLB season begins Sunday, April 3.
• The overnight pause will be midnight to 9:00 a.m. Eastern; this is a daily pause, i.e., also includes Saturday-Sunday.
• We will be drafting on weekends.
• Add a secondary e-mail address, if you have one, to your Draftime user account to ensure that draft notification messages are received. Make sure your primary e-mail address on record with Draftime is a current one.
• Please do not post draft-related messages at Yahoo!; use this forum. If you need to get a private message to me, use the "PM" feature here, as I rarely check my personal (rr.com) e-mail account during work hours.
All draft picks are restricted to players in the current Yahoo! pool for our league at the time your turn occurs. Please remember that the Draftime player list is not customized by league. If you have any questions regarding a player's eligibility, take a moment to check the Yahoo! player list for our league before you draft him. "Placeholders" are not allowed.
Slacker penalty: Evil Commish reserves the authority to impose reduced clock time upon any manager who repeatedly misses his/her turn. Such an extreme measure should not be necessary, given the auto-pick options available in Draftime.

Guess players don't hit IR until season starts which makes this post pointless, but If players hit IR early we could replace them...except our FA set up has a 2 day waiver period after:
draft ends, and
rosters are set, and
you flip the switch.
So unless we finish by Wednesday and you start waivers same Wednesday (waivers Thursday & Friday... then pick up player Saturday for Sunday's roster), we will go through Sunday's games with out being able to make roster adjustments. Just saying...the long delays we are experiencing in the draft are going to bite some of us in the [BLEEP], lord knows mine is ample enough.
Is that reason to hurry draft along???

Taxman, what's up with the "IR"? This is baseball, not hockey or football. Sheesh.Taxman wrote:WCE

Players will not have DL eligibility in Yahoo before official MLB 25-man rosters are set. Even those who are out for the season (Lance Lynn, for example) appear on the player list as Day-to-Day.
Re: [BASEBALL] Game of Throwns (2016)
so post was pointless ... (as to DL--IR --MIA--AWOL whatever proper term is) except for managers who drop and add players willy-nilly thru the season, but I don't know anyone like thatGuess players don't hit IR until season starts which makes this post pointless

Play Ball!
Our draft is finished and teams are now available at Yahoo. Select March 31 or a later date to view your roster; please check it carefully and report discrepancies, if any, before undrafted players become free agents. In addition, the waiver priority order has been set to the inverse of the draft order.
Scoring begins with the games scheduled for Sunday, April 3. Get those starting lineups ready!
