The best part about the new Drafttime.com website is when you click on the team names you can now see exactly how long per pick and for the whole draft the team has taken. So now we'll have actual proof for the people who constantly hold things up haha.

OOPs, fixed it. I made that pick on the Blackberry while out having Margaritas in a Mexican restaurant. So now I have an excuse for round 4 and 5 if they don't work out.

Everybody relax, we're doing fine No one is holding things up, even if they don't pick for several hours. Again, got to remind everyone that this is a casual work league and not a die-hard live-and-breath-baseball league. After all these years, the pace should be expected by now. We do these in 2 to 3 weeks every year, this year should be no different. We are in round 5 and we started less than 48 hours ago and at this pace we're projected to be an 11 day draft, which is 5 days better than we ever have.

A reminder that Rich L (Rockland Raiders) will likely not pick until after sunset on Saturday. It was too many picks from his last pick to set a very large auto queue.

Oh don't mistake me talking about the new feature as complaining Jeff. I think this draft thus far is the best pace we've EVER had in the 5 (?) years I've been in the league it's great.

I'm just saying it's an awesome feature to look back at when the drafts over to see who takes the longest, shortest etc.

See! See! I knew I'd be able to use Drafttime's new feature to build arguments as the draft progresses haha.

Pretty much Brian, it seems we have three culprits in holding up the draft this year. And hey don't blame me for calling people out when the statistical evidence now clocks everyone. Kevin, Brett and Kaufman. That being said, I still feel like we are going faster than in past years and the other nine of us are hauling ass it's awesome.

It was kind of disappointing to have such a long break on a monday after the weekends are supposed to be the "slowdown" portion.

As for the actual draft, I would of bet my truck that John was going to take Mariano Rivera. Good thing I still have my truck eh? Elvis Andrus is the most overrated player in all of fantasy this year, especially given our league's rules, and by his 6.12 draft spot, I'd say he was the biggest reach of the draft thus far (but a decent amount of ADP's and magazines actually do rate him around their in standard 5x5)

Pretty sure I loved his team last year, but Rockland Raiders is definitely my kind of drafter. As great Kershaw and Latos already are they both have various room for growth and that's a very East Coast bias friendly front of the rotation, both Upton's could end up being 2nd or 3rd rounders next season, but patience is wearing thin on BJ everywhere.

Jeff has a very good squad so far too. I almost took Prince in Round 2 and McCutchen in Round 3/4 so I can respect that team for sure. Seems like both Carpenter and Gallardo are being underrated this season, but SP is always so deep sometimes a veteran like Carpenter or a guy who hasn't quite put it altogether in Gallardo fly under the rader

Philly Brett may have the most injury risk filled team I've ever seen at this point in a draft. Hamilton, Morales, Beltre, Nathan and Putz. Five of the first eight guys all with serious injury risk. [BLEEP]. Plus, I think we've already viewed Cano and Werth's best, so paying for the ceiling while probably getting regression to the mean is a big risk too. Okay, fine I like the Lester pick. 1 out of 8 ain't bad!

Unfortunately, the site doesn't automatically account for DST. You'll need to edit your board preferences for it to take effect. From the forums (here):

Click "User Control Panel" in the top-left, then click "Board Preferences," then click that DST is in effect.

You'll need to undo this in the Fall. :)

Claudio, sorry about the Dunn pick, I was hoping Fielder would make it too me, but as we can see, "my strategy of hope" just doesn't work.

I have a plan.

The details and eventual outcome of said plan is not relevant.

All that matters is that I have a plan.

Dam Kaufman thats a ridiculous staff you got there, but Wrigbones 1-2 punch is nasty. I see some pretty good teams, except Kevs (Just kidding Champ). I definatly had to do some research with this bunch. I think that Greinke pick is really good value big montana..

In honor of the draft currently wrapping back towards the people who pick slowly...tomorrow I'm off, I am in no way setting an alarm so we'll see when I wake up.

Nah, actually who am I kidding I'll probably wake myself up to nightmares of paying for saves. Oops, that's just John! :)

All Great comments.... I especially love Montana's take on everyone's pick, keep them coming.

Claudio, as for Dunn, I just needed to pick someone that gave me a few HR's. As for my team so far, I don't think anyone on my team is who I wanted that round. My picks to be all got snatched up just before I would have selected them. Unfortunately for me, it is just the way the ball bounces.

I do like this draft tool better this year.... except I get more emails about my queue being empty than I do about it being my turn to draft. :D

We just crossed the half way point of the draft. It took only 6 days. Hopefully that means 6 days to go which will give us more than a week to sit around and wait for opening day.

Everyone is having a good draft as I see no real bad teams and no blatant "mistake moves" (no one could have seen the Bailey injury coming). There is alot to like about almost every team, and only a little to wonder about. Slash's team is by far the most interesting so far with his hoard of closers and no SP yet. Brian I am sure has a few things up his sleave to make up for his two stud pitcher start at the cost of power guys, but he is also the guy who loves throwing out trades mid season. Of course we have half a draft left. Claudio pulled out the Swisher pick up which I questioned at first glance, but our scoring format suits him with his walks. Manny is a roll of the dice I happen to like.

Now comes the part of the draft I think wins and loses league championships. Filling in the pieces, taking a flyer on sleepers, and avoiding this year's busts.

I wish I had more negative to say to get a little smack going. Maybe in a few rounds I'll make some stuff up.

Yeah, Jeff, according to my undercover league spies, this is what Wrigbone has hiding up his sleeve (I think he stole it from Richie).
