Let's go boys - good draft to everyone!
Wrigs, taking McCoy is getting to be a habit for me...
Hope he stays healthy........

Interesting draft so far (through 2.06) with 16 of 17 picks being RB. New lineup format? -OR- just big top tiers at QB tier 1 or WR tier 2 (after Calvin)? I was actually looking at WR Calvin Johnson for Rd 2 but Bubba grabbed him one pick earlier. I would have picked Chris Johnson with my Rd2 pick but he just bit me in the butt last year where I picked him 7th overall and he sat on my bench most of the year. Good luck with that bum Claudio
Now to hope Forte stays healty and gets more goal line attempts.

Gotta say I'm a bit ticked off but impressed with Rob's picks. I had to wait two hours for him to take "my guy". I thought it was going to be a slight reach at 12th but I really like Steven Jackson in Atlanta this year. I was actually more worried Jeff or Claudio might reach down and take him but surely Bubba would draft Aaron Rogers or that other QB he always takes
I had visions of the law firm of Steven & Stevan heading up the MileHigh Club this year but as always I had a back-up plan that might just work out fine. After all MJD led the NFL in rushing just two years ago. I made it work reaching down with AP last year @ 13 so this year it's MJD @ 13 in a contract year baby

Yeah, quite the conudrum trying to sort through the RBs on this go-round. I honestly was targeting Forte, but after Jeff took him, I sat here going back-and-forth over CJ vs Gore. Gore's age and the fact that he was a bum on my team a couple of years back swayed me to CJ.

You can certainly tell who does outside research and who just clicks on ESPN or Yahoo links for scarce info. Wow. Grahams my #10 player and AJ my #15. Cannot believe they fell, was hoping to maybe get D Thomas and Julio.
Arian going #2 in any draft right this moment is laughable. And pairing that w/ Brady might be the worst 2/23 grouping I've seen this year so far. Two huge candidates for injury, regression and disappointment off people paying sticker price for past performance.
Spiller at 7 is best pick of the draft by far. He hasn't fallen past 4 in a draft I've seen in about two weeks.
Jeff is doing a good job from pick 10, I think 10 is the worst spot to have in 12 teamers this year by far.

During my pre-draft prep, and again since last night when I was 4 picks away I was convinced I was going to avoid McFadden at all costs. I am not sure what prompted me to pull the trigger but let the mocking begin.

Not how I had this mapped out but too many coin tosses at the other positions I was considering with a late 3rd rounder when I pick again after 4 picks.
I joked with Kevin yesterday "What two rounds and no Giants on your roster yet?". Good to see some things have not changed.

You know, that's right around where McFadden is going generally but I just don't see it. Think he's one of the most overvauled guys right now. I wouldn't touch him Top 50 - really what's his upside now? We have a large sample size now of him being an average NFL RB who happens to play on the worst team in the NFL with the worst Online in football, a bottom 5 QB and a 3.3 YPC. If he wasn't such a high real life draft pick he would of been cut already. If he SATs the healthiest he's ever been (a ridiculous notion) and plays 14 games what is his absolute upside? 1200 yards and 7 TDs? At the luckiest/best result possible, no thanks. Eek.

Yup, tons of good arguements about not picking up McFadden, I practically had him on the 'do not draft' column on my board. At least as my RB3/Flex there is less pressure on me needing him to carry the team's ground game. When I came up at pick 3.10, I could not decide between a slew of WR and one plan had me taking two this 3/4 turn, (but one of my targets will make it to me at 4.03, probably even the guy I am expecting does) and thought about other positions that would be considered more of a reach right now. The planets just aligned for that pick.
By the way, I assume Claudio or Richie are assisting in keeping Bubba (Lacuna) on the ball. I did help him set them up as his DPs on Sunday night.

Yep, I've been reaching out to Bubba when it's his turn. Problem is - his queue is empty

Three years ago this would of upset me. But picking at the wrap and knowing I'm not even gonna pick today makes me laugh.

Private email just sent to me by BubbaJack@ss...
Dude....Hurry up, your making me wait!
Man, you take forever... just grab whoever and be like your eagles as they have no clue on who to pick!
Btw, you have to qualify to get a shot at the title...

This will be even better in four rounds when he drafts a kicker to "fill out his lineup".

Jeff, I LOVE the V-Jax pick. I got him in round 4 of a PPR league a couple weeks ago and was stoked. I have him as my #7 WR. He finished 6th last year and that was with Freeman [BLEEP] the bed in December. He really gets overlooked year after year (small markets?, lack of playoff exposure?, never been a top 3 guy at position?) from a fantasy perspective and I would rather have him than the Cruz, Fitz, Cobb, Andre group that all went ahead of him.

I'm purposely not leaving a queue, its the thing to do. I'll pick when I wake up. Hopefully it'll be 3 or 4pm and we waste a prime day of picking?
Just kidding? Or I could just not say anything and leave everyone hanging.

First I want to thank those folks who are paying attention and able to draft timely, I also want to thank everyone for their patience, it is good not to have the influx of 'what the f' emails like I have had in prior years. FOr the others,COME ON MAN we have to be attentive.
I know work gets in the way and I'm hoping the DP process Rob and I discussed and set up last night will help speed that up. But for the others who are taking a long time, what your league mates would really appreciate is that some of you don't wait until it is your turn to start your research (which is what I am guessing is happening), you have plenty of time waiting for other folks to pick to at least narrow down who you are looking for so when your turn comes up you can see the players picked ahead of you and make a decision and keep this thing moving.
I hate being the bad guy and having to send texts or emails when someone is on the clock several hours. Please do your part!

Hey guys, sorry about the late pick, as I was checking to see if I was up through out the day. Once I got on the road Kevin made his pick, and had to wait to pick once I got home. Its funny how you keep checking to see if your up and the moment you stop checking for an hour your up. I do keep guys in my que and sometimes its agonizing when you have to choose between the guys in your que as you don't want to be staring at your team mid season asking yourself why didn't I take the other guy.
Jeff- I really like the Vinny Jackson pick as I had him last yr, and besides for December he was a beast. I do like the old school way of drafting three strong running backs. I think McFadden might be one of the most talented running backs in the NFL, but the dude cant stay healthy. If he plays every game (That's a big IF) he could be a top 10 back.
Wrigs- I thought your turn of Fitzy and AJ could prove to be a deadly combination. I think both will have really good seasons.
Claudio-I love the your first two backs, Trent is going to be a true workhorse, and Im a big believer in CJ with that revamped O-Line.
Lacuna-I cant believe Mega-Tron fell to the second round. Great Value. Steven Jackson in a new system can do very well especially in an offensive juggernaut like Atlanta. Lets hope he can break the curse of the 30 yr old running back. Kapernick was a bold pick in the 3rd round.
Daz- I was hoping Cam would fall.. I think you have a strong running back core with McCoy and Gore. I'm actually kinda excited to see McCoy in that Chip Kelly offense. I'm not even an Eagles fan.
Poe- I was torn between Charles and Spiller. I like the idea of feeding Spiller the ball until he pukes. I just couldn't take him over Charles. I thought you had to take Rodgers where he fell that far into the second round. I think its really good value. Roddy in the 3rd is a good wr1.
Kevin- Ray Sizzle is a great back to have. I thought about Wilson and I can see him doing well but I still feel he needs to prove it. When I saw Breezy falling in the 2nd, I was getting a little excited then you snatched him up. Great Value. I think Brees is the number 1 QB at yrs end.
Rockland-Once again we got an old school drafter getting 3 good backs. I really like MArtin and Bush in their Offenses. I almost took Lamar over Lacy and it was one of those tough choices you got to make. Dez is a Beast.
Ennis- I thought taking the skittle monster at 3 was a little early, but now that I think about it, it won't hurt you. Lynch is a true workhorse and will put up 1200 yards and double digit touchdown. I do like the pairing of Manning and Thomas. I thought DeAngelo was a bit of a reach, but Stewart is still not practicing.
GoldSMith- I really hope FOster gets back on the field as I really like his style of play. Tom Terrific lost some weapons but he makes everyone around him better. Julio is a Monster with loads of potential.
Montana-Best Running back, Best Tight End and top 3 Wide receiver. I call that a great start.

Love that we added the second RB position this year. A starting RB is so much more reliable than a WR. It's frustrating to see a great WR disappear for a game here and there.
So far i don't think anyone is reaching; probably too early in the draft for that. I can tell you that we are thinking along the same lines as my queues get hammered.
Kudo's to the commish for helping me out on day 1; we reached my second pick much sooner than I expected. So I'm on a whale watching boat in Monterey Bay (highly recommended!) when I start getting texts from Jeff. He texted me all the picks to that point so that I could make a selection.
He certainly earned the big salary he gets for this thankless job - so THANKS
