Great...the silence was deafening!
Thought someone might comment on Kershaw at 5, although the "experts" seem to think if you are going to go SP early, he's the guy.
Years ago I went early with Pedro Martinez and that worked out pretty well.

I felt like a kid in a candy shop. I had a tough time choosing. I went with gut, and chose Rizzo. Sorry Rich. I almost took Miggy.

Unfortunately, the candy shop is closed for you while your buddies pick off the other goodies, one by one

Darn you Wrigley -- I soooo wanted Posey there at 2.12

My choice at 2.14 was between Posey or Carpenter who has Yahoo 2B eligibility. Figure I'd go position scarcity.
After the SPs started to run took Sale at 3.03. Was thinking Betts too there, which Rick gobbled up.
Good draft pace so far, who would think I'd be the slow one.
Will be flying Jet Blue flight 23 to California Wednesday morning 3/23, leave around 7AM ET and land about 1PM ET, so I may temporarily be a hold up. I may set a queue for one pick but not multiples. If I'm too many picks away I may just wait til I land if I am up, and apologize now for the delay. If you feel like you must hit refresh, track my flight!
Once on vacation, I will have the cell phone handy so should pick or queue promptly and follow along.

Wow..Pollak, Martinez, Blackmon and Springer all in a row...the 5 tool guys are jumping off the board.

I guess now we should say 5 category guys (until we count defense)

The man had 300 strikeouts last year. You will get no grief from me on that pick!

Wait a second Joe, weren't you the one complaining about your spot after the draft lottery?!?

Honestly, I hate taking a catcher there. I wanted Joey Bats but I'll settle for the last of the elite position players.

Ditto - that's why I was hoping to snag him. Oh well, decided to load up on SPs instead for a change

I looked at the bright side of the 10th pick. Its not a bad spot, just preferred earlier. The candy at the beginning of the round is always better.Everybody wants a snickers or a twix but nothing is wrong with a butterfinger.

Joe gets Tulo this year... Now he does not have to send wild trade offers every week to the owner until he submits someone else to just trade him!!

I literally stared at the draft button for a good five minutes thinking should I or shouldn't I. Tulo scares me but "what if" he can put together a healthy season. Heres to hoping that he does.I'll try to keep those wild trade offers holstered.

Man, everyone is drafting so well so far. I'm usually loving my team this early cause a few of my targets drop into my lap, but so far thru four picks it is pretty much who are you leaving me with. Come on guys, start reaching.
Kev - I really like Sano, especially with 3b eligibility on Yahoo.
Rick - I hate drafting next to you. Stop it!

Wrigs, nice pick with Gonzalez....he was solid for me last year, especially post all star break...

I thought maybe I was in the wrong forum, all the sweetness about the picks.... Its all good though, and I love the stress of picking a decent team(unfortunately for me, it is less often than I pick a poor team).
Good Luck to all, still many rounds to go!
Thanks Wrig for taking over the commish job, you are running a tight ship. I don't recall getting that many picks done on the first day.

Just so it's not all nice - Wrigs, what round are you picking Ben Sheets in?

Rich,
I was really hoping Syndegaard would last until my pick. He will be fun to watch.

Crapola. Stupid queue busting sob's can all rot in a m'effing place of unbearable heat and humidity.
That is all.

I thought is was a drafting rule that Jeff had to get Prince.... he is going to be [BLEEP].
