ACS 2011 Gridiron Draft Discussion
ACS 2011 Gridiron Draft Discussion
Here is the place for all league communication before and during the draft. Draft to start Monday 8/22 8AM.
Re: ACS 2011 Gridiron Draft Discussion
We need a better name for our leagues. ACS doesn't give us sponsor money! I like the one above us "When Pigs Fly VI". How about we have some fun and put up some suggestions during the draft on here and vote for the best one at the end?!? Humm? humm?
Re: ACS 2011 Gridiron Draft Discussion
Anyone looking to trade down to the 12 spot?

Was afraid to pull the triggeron Chris Johnson with pick 4. I'm sure I'll regret it.
Re: ACS 2011 Gridiron Draft Discussion
I would have done the same thing Jeff. The comments made by the Titan's GM yesterday don't sound good for him. I actually thought you were going off the Ray Rice hype...some "experts" are saying he is going to be the man this year!jeffg wrote:Was afraid to pull the triggeron Chris Johnson with pick 4. Ditto on the pass of CJ....didn't want to take a chance (however remote) of getting a goose egg from the #1 pick.
Re: ACS 2011 Gridiron Draft Discussion
Hey jeff I thought the rice pick was a good one, I think after the top 5 rbs taken, it becomes a crapshoot. The two qb picks before me definatley made my decision a little easier, although choosing between mendy, mcoy and turner were tough. I was looking for a young workhorse and felt mendy was the right way to go. Thanks again for the invite to this league.
Re: ACS 2011 Gridiron Draft Discussion
Bradshaw 15th overall? Might be one of the worst picks I've ever seen with this group.
If I held up the league this weekend I am legit sorry, I was under the impression it started monday morning with myself on the clock (a lot of you say you barely check stuff on the weekends anyways) so again if I did I'm sorry.
This should be a fun couple weeks as always, pretty bummed John's not in the league with me anymore, but I'll try to represent our blood line as best I can haha.

I'll check back in on the draft after work...have we gotten to the point where it's "fool me once shame on me - fool me x# of times" yet people?!?
Re: ACS 2011 Gridiron Draft Discussion
We are moving at a nice pace but Brian got hosed with the one spot where he is stuck behind Bubba. Maybe his DPs can help. It does stink when the pace is inconsistent (well, consistent based on the picker).
I'm all loaded with autopics for rd 4 & 5. See you working stiffs later!

Wrig -- You are on deck, and have 2 back-to-back picks, you can set a 3 person queue, no...?? Why 'check-out' until you get home from work? I usually do not set queues, so I am NOT suggesting that you have to, but don't freak brotha.. BTW -- going to the Yankee game tonight, so I will have spotty access for a few hours tonight.Wrigbone wrote:I'll check back in on the draft after work...have we gotten to the point where it's "fool me once shame on me - fool me x# of times" yet people?!?
Re: ACS 2011 Gridiron Draft Discussion
I need to see what the idiot does before I take this fork in the road or I would set the queue. Why should I have to set one? There were only 5 picks before he drafted as of last night/this morning. Why the F didn't he set a 6 player queue if he knows he can't pick during the day for whatever reason? At least that would get us to the end of the round. Oh yeah - I forgot he is prepping and will be in surgery all day
Re: ACS 2011 Gridiron Draft Discussion
Hurray only 2 and 1/2 hours today...I gotta go take a pee and think about these next two picks
