Divisions: Yes (2 divisions)
Note: Teams are assigned to divisions by Yahoo! as they are registered for the league.
Playoff seeding: Division winners awarded top playoff seeds

Draft hours will be 9:00 a.m. ET to midnight ET, with an overnight pause. If your turn occurs during a draft pause, you may make your selection if you so desire ... you need not wait for the draft pause to end.

We'll start with a five-hour limit between picks and adjust as necessary, with a goal of finishing by Labor Day.

Evil Commish slacker penalty: If a manager runs the full draft clock twice without making a pick, his/her team will receive only half the normally allotted time for the next two rounds. Please maintain an adequate AVIALABLE queue and communicate with your fellow league members ... especially your designated picker(s). Evil Commish reserves the authority to impose reduced clock time beyond the two-round penalty for any manager who repeatedly misses his/her turn. Such an extreme measure should not be necessary, given the designated picker and auto-pick options available in Draftime.

All draft picks are restricted to players in the current Yahoo! pool at the time your turn occurs. Please remember that the Draftime player list is not customized by league. If you have any questions regarding a player's eligibility, take a moment to check the Yahoo! player list for our league before you draft him. You can use Draftime to trade picks, players, or both.

Projected start: Wednesday, August 10

New options for league vote

Post by Mario LeMoose » Sat Aug 06, 2011 10:45 am

Two new options up for league vote; let's try to come to a consensus on these by the conclusion of the draft:

• Playoff Reseeding [Default setting: Never Reseed]
Details from Yahoo!: If your league uses a three-week playoff setting, playoff reseeding will adjust the second round matchups so the highest seeded team will play the lowest ranked team. Playoff reseeding will occur when there is an upset in the first round of the playoffs.

• Lock Eliminated Teams: [Default setting: No]
Details from Yahoo!: Prevent teams eliminated from the playoffs and consolation games from adding and dropping players during playoff weeks.

Draft start (change)

Post by Mario LeMoose » Wed Aug 10, 2011 8:08 am

I will have very limited computer access during work hours today; tentative opening day of the draft is being moved to Thursday, August 11. No time limit the first day in order to allow teams to access the player list, set queues, and make designated picker arrangements.

All managers are now on board. :D Draft order will be posted this evening (Eastern time).

Balanced Schedule

Post by Mario LeMoose » Wed Aug 10, 2011 9:38 pm

I've edited the original, unbalanced league schedule so that each team now has one game against every opponent. Week One matchups predetermined by Yahoo! have not been changed.

WOW I watched all day and nothing. I go for a hike tonight and the draft goes crazy. Sorry for the holdup but it was way to far away to think about a queue when I left

OJ should be ready as soon as he makes his pick. If I'm not up or around I will leave a queue, and most likely a set based one, so as not to slow us down on day 2!

I am knee deep in budgets for 2012, so will not be able to check in as frequently as usual, but I will designate a picker or two for me.

Not sure I've ever seen 7QBs go in the first round of a draft. I guess I started the QB run.

I'm on road tomorrow. Seems as if my end of the draft is not checking whether or not they are up (not a new problem). I've got an auto pick for round 5. I'll be back by tomorrow dinner time.

Slacker Penalty

Post by Mario LeMoose » Wed Aug 17, 2011 9:13 am

OJ: You have half-time for rounds six and seven as a result of running the full draft clock twice without making a selection. :?

Please consider setting a queue and using auto-pick.

I don't know who "OJ" is, however obarry25 has made 6 picks all made between 9:56 AM and 10:38 AM. Indicates he is in a way different time zone, or only has computer access for a very limited window, or so Shureluck Homes would deduct :?: :?:

I do agree with you there OJ....Us west coast (especially San Francisco/Bay Area) are much more forgiving and unbiased!

But..........I hate drafting behind you. You always take so freakin long, and always manage to steal at least two of my picks...... :D

We've been at this for over a week and Kahuna is yet to be heard from in the draft forum. Here's a perfect opening for him to accuse the lot of us with "mainland bias," yet nary a peep. :?
