Rich L is not new to FF, I expect he'll be a formadable opponent. He's just new to our league.

Although I am new to the ACS league, I have been playing fantasy football successfully for many years. I have to admit that I've never drafted two defenses either, but seeing as a very fine defense was available I did an analysis (it's what I do for a living) and thought it was worth a try.

Time will tell whether being able to avoid playing my defense against a high powered offense will be worth more than a Danny Woodhead or Antonio Brown. I can almost guarentee that I will start the Falcons before you start either of those two.

Very funny Kevin!!!!

As far as 2nd Defenses go, I think Brian was ok thinking he'd draft the 12th best defense on his board, with a few of our league managers taking back up D's, Brian now will have to draft the 15th best defense :)

Lets really mess him up and all take back up kickers before his turn comes up again!!!!!!

Well played Mauer AKA Rockland! I like your defense (no pun intended). I may not agree with it but I can accept it. At least got some people talking on here. I hope I never have to use Woodhead but its nice to know I got a life-preserver. As for Antonio Brown 8) shhh

And as for you Gman you are half right but I could draft the Saskatchewan Roughriders DST and they might finish in the top 10 at the end of the year as far as fantasy points go.

Just imagine how much more I can second guess myself now! For example... week 1 Phillie plays the Rams while Atlanta plays da Bears. I will probably start the Falcons and hope for a vintage Cutler meltdown.

I can't wait.

Excerpt from a fantasy guru column posted today...
The last point I'd like to drive home on DSTs: The only time when it's OK to carry more than one is if one is a top DST that's on a bye. Don't draft two unless mandated by your league's rules. You could ask me 100 times and I'll tell you 100 times that I'd rather spend a roster spot on a sleeper or a flier off waivers or a backup quarterback or a player that might help my opponent this week than a second DST.

DAZMAN! Now i have proof you do not listen when i talk,
News: Leshoure (Achilles') has been placed on IR, Chris McCosky of the Detroit News reports. (Sun Aug 14)
The only advice i gave you this year was NOT to draft Mikel Leshoure :!:

I would bet that those same 100 experts would say you can't punt Saves and win a baseball fantasy league! Maybe this is the year to break the rules.

Dude it's a 15th round pick which pretty much equals out to a waiver pickup at this point. I'll drop him and pick up someone else as soon as the rosters are loaded. It's not like I'm banking on him to carry my team...........

[BLEEP] son, you musta been hankerin' to post something!

Yep, the Leshoure thing just made whoever wins this league have atleast 5% less bragging rights overall. I don't even wanna admit how many leagues I do and mock drafts I represent in prep and that's the first time he has went in any format. Sigh.

Hopefully we can finish this dang draft soon so Jeff can put the rosters in and you can have a chance to pick someone up before the season starts.

We drafted 16 rounds in 11 days. I'll load everything up tonight, and then launch the season. I'll email the league when this is completed.
