Any WiFi access while you're away? This assumes that you even want to fuss with the draft while you're on vacation ... hah!

I am at the beach from Aug 18-24 but we are supposed to have internet there. I may not be online as often though. Does draftime work on a smartphone?

I *believe* it does (see below) but hope that another one of our managers will be able to confirm.

Copied-and-pasted from this page: http://www.draftime.com/forums/viewtopi ... 6&start=25

"...I think I've made about 75% of my picks via smart phone since the 2011 draft. It's not like Drafttime.com has a confusing application or something? You just use the browser as if its your laptop? I'm seriously confused as to how a smart phone would hamper anyone from doing what they want on their phone."

League Schedule

Post by Mario LeMoose » Fri Aug 09, 2013 9:48 pm

I've finished editing the original league schedule at Yahoo!; we now have our familiar "balanced" schedule. No change was made to opening week match-ups. :)

Skipping pick

Post by Mario LeMoose » Fri Aug 16, 2013 9:22 am

As much as I hate skipping someone's pick so early, I think we have to keep the draft moving. :( If anyone has an alternate way (other than e-mail) to reach Brian, please help. Taxman, are you one of his "text buddies"?

I'm late...what else is new.

No response from Brian. I'm pretty sure the number I have is no longer good as the voice mail recording is not personalized (if PFB still has Herbal Life business, the greeting would personalized), but is canned male voice that says "the person you have called is unavailable, please call later"

Draft Clock

Post by Mario LeMoose » Thu Aug 22, 2013 10:43 am

Sent via Yahoo! league mail:

Prepare for a four-hour time limit between draft picks beginning Friday, August 23. Target date for completion of the draft is Sunday, September 1, and we are not currently on pace to meet that goal.

The daily overnight pause (midnight to 9:00 a.m. Eastern) will remain in place.

Yahoo! "Enhacements"

Post by Mario LeMoose » Sat Aug 24, 2013 5:03 pm

So that you will know who's to blame for the hideous seaweed-colored background on Yahoo! fantasy football league pages: http://yahoofantasy.tumblr.com/

If you want to leave feedback/suggestions:
http://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/169858-us-sports

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear fantasy players,
Things are looking a little different around Yahoo! Fantasy Football where we have introduced a number of design changes and game enhancements. The goal of these changes is to provide a game that is more fun, faster and easier to get to what you need. Sign up now and get in on the action.
Here are some of the highlights:
League Home Pages
• Match-Ups are much more prominent on League Home. Match-Ups are the lifeblood of fantasy – you want to see how you’re dropping the hammer on your rival – so we gave them more love in our design.
• Facebook Groups can now be used as a communication tool in your league. A lot of fantasy players use Facebook groups already, so, working with Facebook, we decided to bring groups inside the game. Messages posted in the league group will appear in the league home page and on Facebook.
• Expert Content (Weekly Ranks, the Big Board, Roto Arcade blog posts, etc.) is more prominent. Along with the No. 1 game comes (usually) great advice from our experts. Be nice to Brad Evans; he does try really hard – and the louder he says it the more likely he is to be partly right (or drown out the other parts).
My Team Page
• Drag and Drop is going the way of the dinosaur, replaced by a nimbler, smarter, more mammalian roster management tool (just tap and go, baby!). This will make life much easier for folks playing on tablets, too. Classic, like the coelacanth, is not going away. You can still access Classic Mode at the bottom of the page and your position drop downs will return.
• The new roster tool auto-saves. You won’t lose last-second roster moves on Sunday because you hit the submit button too late. Make a move and – bam – it’s saved.
• The page loads faster. Need meet speed.
More cool, new things will be rolling out in the next few weeks as well so keep an eye out. And don’t forget to check out the totally new mobile app (live drafts!) on iTunes and Android. If I may say so – it just rocks.
We hope you like the changes. We are sure you will have opinions. Share them in our forums and know that we’ll be reading and taking notes. Our goal is to make the best fantasy games in the world. This is just another step in that quest. Want more details? We got your OCD covered here. Thanks again for playing fantasy sports on Yahoo! and good luck this season.
- Ken Fuchs, Head of Yahoo! Sports & Games
- Brian Marshall, Head of Yahoo! Sports Product
ESPN Football Mini-Games
Post by Mario LeMoose » Sun Aug 25, 2013 6:42 pm
ESPN's 2013 football mini-games are open for registration. BBC Regs on a Raft is back as a public group; no password required to join. These are FREE games.
I've sent messages via Yahoo! mail to baseball and football league managers; if you received more than one message, you're not being spammed ... you're a "regular." 8)
College Pick'em
Scoring begins with the games of Saturday, August 31.
Pigskin Pick'em
BBC Regs on a Raft I = straight pick
BBC Regs on a Raft II = pick against the spread
Scoring begins with the NFL games of Thursday, September 5.
Gridiron Challenge
BBC Regs on a Raft = floating salary cap
BBC Regs on a Raft II = player eliminator (once you use a player in a given week, you cannot use him the rest of the season)
Scoring begins with the NFL games of Thursday, September 5.
Eliminator Challenge
Survivor-type game; scoring begins with Week One of the NFL season.
Also available, but I am not participating and therefore have not formed a group:
College Football Challenge
Roster-type game featuring college football players. Up to eleven entries allowed per person (maximum one entry per conference).
Teams are now available at Yahoo! and the waiver order has been set to the inverse of the draft order.
Now ... if only Yahoo! would launch Fantasy Hockey. 8)
