[FOOTBALL] Hackers Football 2019

Post by jeffg » Thu Aug 22, 2019 12:20 pm

We are off!

I had to pass off on Zeke at 1.04. Cant take the risk of him starting a few weeks late or perhaps be this year’s BELL.

Good luck Kev. Could be a coup at 1.05

Zeke is too good to pass up, IMHO. This holdout crap is ridiculous. He better suit up for week 1 or Lucy won’t be the only one with some splainin to do!

I was planning on a running back but was thrilled to see Devanta Adams available at 11.

Adams at 1.11 is a steal! I debated between him and Hopkins at 1.7 for quite a while

I don't think you could go wrong either way. Had you take Adams, I would have grabbed Hopkins.

I had such a tough time choosing between CMC and Kamara, then I realized they are the same player.

The holdout stuff is BS. Zeke and Gordon need to understand that fantasy football is depending on them. Kev, if Zeke wasn’t holding out I would of taken him 2.

I would have picked McCaffrey as well but can you complain about "settling" for Kamara?

When my 2.09 pick came up (21 overall) I had actually thought Mahomes would not be an option. Actually considered a QB there, I do not think I ever picked a QB that high... but couldn’t pull the trigger. I do not think we ever went that long as a league without the top QB being picked....Probably would have at 3.04 but Joe grabbed him.

Last year he was a differentiator. We’ll see if he is 20% better than anyone else again this year.

Took a chance on Gordon (ala Zeke earlier) so hope this holdout is short and sweet...……...

Hopefully - I still remember my 2017 season being torpedoed by Zeke's suspension for the last 6 games.

Looks like Kas is assembling a roster full of Lions ... interesting approach. :)

I know Wentz is a bit of a reach here but I was afraid of this group's knowledge over the average fantasy manager.

Question for y'all: would he have made it back to me? :?

Would be unlikely I grabbed Wentz next two.. lower on my QB board... but you are not the only homer picker. I knew Kas was a Lions fan but.....

He’s going to have no one available on Detroit’s bye week :)

I'll be traveling to the IMSA race tomorrow to watch my friend race, which is in Alton Virginia.... or out in the middle of nowhere.... Hoping the #67 can win it's third in a row in the GTLM class.

I've been there several times, and I've had different levels of success with my phone. I don't think it will be an issue, but just wanted to give you a heads up if there is a delay on my turn.

Wow. Sorry guys... we may see the first 0-12 team in our history. I’d be LYIN if I said otherwise.

There’s lots of draft picks left to go, you can still turn it around, Jeff! :D

I see what you did there. :o  I’m sure I will somehow manage to lose to that team. Week 5 maybe... :P

FUN FACT: For the haters.... Per game stats in 2018:

Player Year Cmp Att Yds TD Int
Player A 2018 23.8 36.0 268.7 1.3 0.7
Player B 2018 22.9 34.7 236.1 1.3 0.7

Any guesses? No googling. Here’s a hint - One guy is “finished”, “done”, “washed up”, “needs to retire”, etc. The other was drafted already and I don’t really hear anyone calling for him to retire. #mediabias Well, the drafter may be forced into early retirement, however. 8)

The unfair knock against Eli is the lack of playoff wins the last 7 seasons and the last couple of dreadful years for the team, especially with so many great players in the skill positions on offense. It is a quarterbacks league so they tend to get way too much credit when they win and take the heat when they fail. Even if the defense is the issue. If they get off to a slow start the media pressure could make this season a huge distraction

He’s an above average quarterback even at present... but Fantasy wise he is just way less valuable the a guy on a pass happy team or a QB who runs more.

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!
Player A is Eli Manning
Player B is Matt Stafford

Literally everyone in the media thinks Eli is trash and I disagree. Who are you going to believe anyway? The free world or me? I’d stick with the latter. #ROADTOTHREELI #yagottabELIve :o :!:

I Melvin Gordon plays, Randazzo is looking strong.
