BTW - check out your Email Notifications in your Account. I'm doing another draft and wasn't getting my normal Pick notifications and noticed that they were not enabled for some reason.

Cano was your clear cut #4 right Jeff. Bet you had visions of him dropping to 9 after the 5th pick was made

I really wanted to pull the trigger on Cano, but i heard some last minute PED accusations about him. Pujols maybe a reach for who was there, but that lineup he hits in could be amazing.

That is why Kev took a while on Cano, I had tried trading up and had some swap offers in

Richie - did you really think those two were gonna slide all the way down to you? Claudio, and really the three or four picks before me, I was sure someone was gonna take Harper. I actually got the three guys I targeted starting the draft for once so if it doesn't pan out I have nobody to blame but myself.

David Price @ 30 is a bargain!

Is Rick auto drafting his team? If he is just queuing up some groups of players when its close to his pick fine, otherwise that kinda sucks. If you don't have time to draft you should not commit to the league.

Yep, I'm the bad guy again, but it's the truth.

Thoughts from today...

Wow, I got Cargo at pick 15. A dozen mock drafts and my hometown money league (which I took him 5th overall) I never would of guessed such a thing happen. I have it at #6 overall in standard leagues so I took Fielder over him because of our SLG % settings and the fact that 1B really isn't as deep as most years. I'm pretty happy to be all in on Cargo stock this season.

Harper's a fascinating play this year, I took him at 29th overall in my money league, but I've also seen him go as high as 12th or 13th. Really the sky is the limit and I've bought into the hype for sure, but I do feel like were probably one more year away from him justifying a 1st/2nd round pick stock.

Hamilton went way higher than any league with intelligent owners I've seen. Posey fell to 23, which speaks for everyones fear of the "Name Drop" C career year price tag.

Pace is strong this year, it was real fun around noon time when all [BLEEP] broke loose and everyone was picking rapid fire. So fun.

Was realllllly hoping Wright would keep sliding to me. Best pick of the draft so far, John. Wright fell about a dozen picks from where he belongs. So he may miss a week? He's in the boring stage of his career? The myth of lineup protection mattering? I'm curious as to why so many passed him over. Again, awesome pick.

Kevin, nice job stealing Price two picks before I was going to take him. He was the only pitcher left that was worth my 3rd round pick. He's a stud.

I was taking Wright if he made it back, then I was taking Kinsler. So, I'll just start my lineup with a couple of beasts (Giancarlo and Encarnacion) and Tulo who is a beast in SS terms. It was tough letting one of my targets Heyward go, I knew he was going in the next couple of picks. For me no finishing on the bottom with 1s for slugging and HRs this year.

Great day. Three rounds is an awesome start. Glad everyone came prepared and ready to draft.

Brian - Rick is not on full autopick. I think he is just ready when he is a couple of picks away. You usually see him update the position right away after the pick is made, and you can see the icon to the left of the name as to what the status of that round's queue is, and it is not always on autopick until a few picks away.

Welcome Jim, aka our new guy. You got your hometown player Miggy to start your ACS Hackers career.

About Rick that's cool. It was a great day for baseball. So refreshing and makes it fun to move along like that. Some great players slid down and every team looks like they are off to a promising start. Honesty, until the injury news came out I was considering Wright to pair with Harper instead of Pedroia but I figured others would make my choices for me. I actually thought I would have the two shortstops in the mix at that turn as well. Reyes and HR went kinda early but both have high upsides. See ya all tomorrow!

I was surprised to see Wright still sitting available late in R3, same for Ellsbury in R4. Starting to doubt my preparation for this draft.

Didn't mean to disappear today. Worked an issue at the office late last night, and then had to fight home in the snow for almost 2 hours. Had a late start this morning, and in my frustration yesterday i accidentally tripped the power on my laptop and lost all my updates to my cheat sheet.. im back in business now...

FYI - David Wright was drafted last year in the 5th round. I had a good season by him.. Mid 3rd round is where I would begin to look at him. When hes healthy he's good, but when he's not healthy, he's painful to watch... Good luck! I had my fun...

We have such an awesome flow with Rockland, Jeff, Me and Dazman picking rapid fire too.

EDIT: "Oh god, Steve and Brian are complaining again."

Anyways, I'm more bitter I had to wait 5 hours to have Bumgarner ganked from my queue. Quick and painless would of been more favorable haha. Good thing I love Chris Sale.

Steve,

Nice pick taking Sale. I was hoping he would last till my pick. Took Cueto as a consolation prize. Hope he stays on an upward trajectory.

The pace is great this year. Must be my buddy Jim :)

I'm curious - have the default rules changed for eligibility this year? I noticed a couple players who I think should be DH only listed at a position.

I like the Shields pick. I was torn between him and Greinke. x4 tails up coin tosses in a row later, and.... I could not deny fate. I hope Shields does not produce better numbers than Greinke for the third straight year! (as i have him projected to do) - Rolling the dice on the home field pitcher park and return to NL to stop the trend..

Seriously?!? Two days in a row now with this clown. Thank god he is on the end. Jeff I have a great owner ready to take Kaufman's place next year. Please say enough is enough with this guy. Remember how fun it was when the draft was moving?
